I pray that

As always, 

pray that the other party will understand  the lesson God is trying to teach,

not realizing that we should be the one who should learn something.

Will I quit?

Sometimes,

we are drowned into wanting a time to rest

without realizing that during the moment we think of quitting,

we are on STOP

and

the time might been useful  and valuable

to finish the course a little earlier or easier

if

we don't stop to think of quitting.

Life is well spent with challenges.

1ST GBYC

BBC-KAYA

                Katipunan Youth Alive or simply KAYA is the Youth Ministry of Bible Baptist Church in Katipunan, Cebu, City. It is sub-grouped into eight and this year’s names are: Saint1, Gerhard2, Zwemer3, Livingstone4, Townsend5, Zinzendorf 6, Wyrick7 and Hudson8.

 

Annual Congress

                Annual Baptist Youth Congress has been the highlight of KAYA ministry. From the 1st National Baptist Youth Congress in 1981 up to the last year’s 11th World Baptist Youth Congress, thousands of young lives have been challenged, awakened, encouraged and blessed as the congress sought to thrust the consciousness of its attendees the need of the gospel not only in the Philippines but of those beyond the borders. 1st Global Congress

                As the BBFI Global Fellowship meeting held on February 21-24, 2011 and all the pasts Youth Baptist Congresses been a great success, BBC-KAYA will be having its 1st Global Baptist Youth Congress (1st GBYC) this coming April 2-5, 2012.

        The KAYA Youth Congress Packages four full days of preaching, devotionals and activities. BBC-KAYA version of Amazing Race tops the list of the activities the delegates will experience and never will forget in each annual congress.

                The registration fee is 450 Philippine bills. No additional payment for foods (breakfast, lunch and dinner) served in the Church and for accommodation of stay-ins in the church. There will be also discounts for early registration.

                To those who will be coming from outside the Cebu City, domestic or international, once you have arrived in any of the Cebu airports or seaports you may ride any taxi to reach the church premises. Surely, Cebu Taxi drivers know where the church is situated. Just tell the driver to drop you in Bible Baptist Church, Katipunan, Cebu City and they will bring you right in the front of the Church building or you may contact in advance us to assists you upon your arrival.

Demons in Ladies' Clothing

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

I am on my way to Colon, Cebu earlier this night, when I saw group of beautiful ladies in the corner of the street on the other side of the road. I don't mind them that much though its pretty clear what they are doing. One lady is holding a microphone while standing before a pulpit. She is like a Hollywood star performing a concert in a huge venue but she is actually preaching among the crowds that are busy minding their own businesses.

After a few minutes, after I am done buying the stuffs I needed I went home and I am on that corner, on that street and on that side of the road. The cute lead star are not holding a microphone this time. She and her band are now holding bags in which these words are written: LOVE OFFERING.

I didn't drop a coin, of course, I know they're not God's... but it hurts as if a tiny needle is stuck in my heart. How could they used the Word of God to earn a living wrongfully. How much it hurts the LORD.


Please don't do the same. I beg you!

KITTY, Woodpecker and MISS ANGRY

In a reversed psychology class, A teacher had been interrupted in her teaching when she saw a Day Care student playing with an Elementary student.

"Kitty, what are you doing? That's bad, bad,bad... tssk..tssk I will make a 500 -word essay concerning this and send it to the assistant Principal. Let's see how far will this literary piece go. Bwahaha!!! You can make your own essay too, if you will!", said Ma'am Angry.

Later, Kitty was called in the assistant Principal's bench with Woodpecker.

Kitty: (with a shimmering eye)"Whooh, you're here woodpecker! Are you not contented with your big list of achievements and awards? "

Woodpecker : "Yeah, maybe this would be my last award. I am tired of fame, you know."

Asst. Principal: "I congratulate both of you for winning our secret competition! For that, the two of you will be having an 'early graduation' and it will be kept secret until the fullness of time. It is because our school will not recognize any secret winning."

The early graduation took place and because of lack of financial support, no ceremony was held. In dismay, woodpecker went home and never will he go back again.On the other side, Kitty stayed for one week more in the detention.



Time passed by and the day of departing home came. Her three best buddy accompany her in the spaceport. Ma'am Angry wasn't able to accompany her because of too much sorrow she had for not bringing home the beacon. But it is all right because the four-winged space craft is for four passengers only."



Time and time passed, passes and passing by but still the mystery of the secret competition kept unfold as well as the secret committee behind it.

Walk In HIS Leading

It was about 9:20pm last night. I was on my way home after my night class and I was heading I saw a familiar guy standing on the highway side. He is not after to ride a Jeep because it seems that he isolate himself from the crowd (those who will ride a Jeep.) Plus, that he seems to be there for a long period of time and he bears a sorrowful face. Its an unusual scenario so I concluded that maybe he runs out of money for transportation or perhaps heavier than that.




We're of the same College (Cebu Institute of Technology - University) but I am ahead by 1 year. I recognized him because we've been classmate in Engineering Orientation Subject for BS Mechanical Engineering Students in which all transferee and first year-students are required to load it.

We've been classmates but I am not that close to him. This is my primary reason why I just passed by him and keep walking but THERE is in me that made me uneasy and caused me to pause for many times.These moments, I am petitioning GOD that may HE send someone to talk to that guy, to know his problem and help if ever for I am already about 50 meters away from him. I just asked HIM to bless and lead him in the way.

Well, despite of my prayer, I can't proceed my tract without doing any action so I made up my mind to go back and approach him. "Bahala na", I told myself.

We're talking for a few minutes. I have learned that he have a quarrel with his mother and he have just broke up with his girlfriend. Also, I am right that he had no money for transportation.However, he's not planning to go home anyway. I told him the danger that awaits him if he will standby in that area for a long time and advice him to go home and face her mother. I offer him a money for transportation but he just decided to spend the night in his Uncle's house which is nearby, that is according to him.

The Lesson I learned through this experience of mine is "Somebody is out there waiting for you to touch his life." and "When the Holy Spirit is talking to you, listen very attentively!"

11th WBYC

BBFI Global Fellowsip meeting held recently on Feb 21-24 is really a great success.
